Spinoff Signal is an independent reference desk. We turn dated, source-linked evidence into a compact project record. We do not publish rumors, anonymous leaks, predictions or invented confidence scores.

1. Start with attributable sources

We prefer direct statements from a creator, studio, network, production or official filing. We label these as primary sources. Named reporting from an established entertainment trade or newsroom can corroborate a primary source or support a status when it clearly attributes the information.

A social post, forum comment or copied summary does not become confirmation simply because it is repeated. If the underlying source cannot be found, the claim does not enter the project timeline.

2. Use a fixed status vocabulary

Announced In development Greenlit In production Released Delayed Not moving forward

Announced means a project has been publicly named. It does not promise production.
In development means creative or business development is reported, without a production order.
Greenlit means a network or platform has authorized the next production or season.
In production requires evidence that filming or active production has begun.
Released means the project is available to viewers.
Delayed means an expected schedule has moved without evidence the project is closed.
Not moving forward means an attributable source says the announced or developing project will not continue.

3. Keep the old status visible

Projects change. We add a new dated event rather than rewriting history. The timeline shows the earlier announcement, the later decision and the evidence for both. “Last verified” records the most recent editorial check; it is not the same as the date an event occurred.

4. Correct the record

Corrections should include a public source URL and explain which status or date needs review. Send them to corrections@spinoffsignal.buzz. A correction is reviewed against the same source standard before publication.

5. Know what this desk is not

Spinoff Signal is not official, exhaustive or real-time. It is not affiliated with Paramount, CBS, Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan or their partners. The pilot covers three Yellowstone-connected projects and makes no claim to cover every television series.
